Cookie policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

1. What cookies are

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. Websites can also use the browser's local storage, which serves a similar purpose and is covered here too.

2. Cookies used by this site

The public part of novapuerta.com uses no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies, and passes no browsing data to third parties for those purposes. That is why you see no consent banner: we use only what the site needs to work.

The private admin area, used only by agency staff, sets a technical session cookie to keep you signed in and a security token against request forgery. Both are necessary and are removed when you sign out.

3. Local storage

To remember your preferences in this browser we use local storage rather than cookies:

  • The properties you saved as favourites, so the Favourites page can show them.
  • Your last search, so we can offer to continue it next time.
  • A flag that stops the save-search prompt reappearing once you have dismissed it.

This stays on your device only, is never sent to our servers and cannot identify you. You can clear it at any time by clearing site data in your browser.

4. Third-party services

Some features load third-party content, which may record your IP address while serving it:

  • Maps: map imagery comes from the mapping provider. If the agency enables Google Maps, Google's privacy policy applies as well.
  • Address autocomplete in the valuation form: the Photon (Komoot) geocoding service, which receives only the text you type.
  • WhatsApp: the contact button opens WhatsApp on your device, from which point that service's terms apply.

5. Managing or deleting cookies

You can block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Note that blocking the technical cookies of the admin area prevents signing in there.

  • Chrome: Settings › Privacy and security › Cookies and other site data.
  • Firefox: Settings › Privacy & Security › Cookies and Site Data.
  • Safari: Preferences › Privacy › Manage Website Data.
  • Edge: Settings › Cookies and site permissions.

6. Changes

If we add analytics or marketing tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent through a banner before installing them. For any question write to info@novapuerta.com.
